Child Protection

SABA take the issue of child protection very seriously and fully support England Basketball's Child Protection Policies.

At the summer AGM of 2011, the SABA Executive proposed a new Constitutional amendment that was ratified by the membership to provide certain levels of funding for clubs to cover the cost of CRB Checks. In essence SABA has committed to funding the cost of one CRB check per 10 junior club members. To be eligible, all qualifying members must be registered with England Basketball, and the CRB check is considered to be funded for the full 3 year period until it expires.
